Weftkart Vendor Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Weftkart’s Vendor Program! As part of our community, we expect our vendors to follow the terms and conditions outlined below to ensure smooth business operations and mutual growth. By registering as a vendor, you agree to comply with these terms. Please read them carefully.


1. Account Setup and Verification

  • KYC Requirements:
    To maintain a trustworthy marketplace, all vendors must complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process. This ensures identity verification and business legitimacy. The following documents are mandatory for KYC verification:

    • Mobile number
    • Email ID
    • GST registration
    • Aadhar card
    • PAN card
    • Voter ID
    • Driving license
    • Address proof
    • Business proof (if applicable)
  • Office and Pickup Address:
    Vendors are required to provide accurate office and pickup addresses during the registration process. This will be used for dispatch and delivery purposes.
  • Account Approval:
    Once you submit all required documents, our verification team will review them. You will be notified of your account status via email. Approval is typically completed within 2-5 business days.
  • Prohibited Use of Fake Documentation:
    The submission of falsified documents or identification is strictly forbidden. Violation of this policy will lead to immediate account suspension or closure and may result in legal action.

2. Registration Fee

  • Initial Fee:
    A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of ₹3000 is required for new vendors. This fee covers the listing and management of up to 200 products by our team.
  • Product Quota:
    Vendors can list up to 200 products as part of this registration. Any additional products will incur a charge of ₹15 per listing, with payment due before listing.

3. Product Listings

  • Managed Listings:
    Weftkart’s team will handle the listing process for vendors. Vendors are not permitted to independently add products to the platform. Our team ensures that product titles, descriptions, and images meet platform standards.
  • Additional Listings:
    After the initial 200 listings, vendors may request additional listings at ₹15 per product.

4. Commission Structure

  • Delivery Commission:
    A 10% commission is applied to all orders upon successful delivery. The commission is calculated on the total product value excluding taxes and shipping.
  • No Commission for Canceled or RTO Orders:
    There will be no commission charged for orders that are canceled or returned to origin (RTO).

5. Order Processing and Shipping

  • Order Confirmation:
    Vendors must confirm orders within 2-3 days of receipt and provide a valid tracking ID. Orders without tracking updates within 5 days may be canceled by Weftkart.
  • Out of Stock Policy:
    In the event a product is out of stock, vendors must inform the customer immediately and request order cancellation to avoid delays and negative customer experiences.
  • Late Shipping Penalty:
    Orders not shipped within 5 days or canceled without proper notification will result in a 1% cancellation fee on the total order value. Repeated delays may result in account suspension.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • Vendor Cancellations:
    If an order is canceled by the vendor after confirmation, a 2% cancellation fee will be applied. This is to maintain reliability and avoid disruptions in customer service.
  • System Cancellations:
    Orders automatically canceled due to delays in shipment or failure to update tracking will not incur commission, but repeated cancellations will lead to account review and possible suspension.

7. Payment Handling

  • Cash on Delivery (COD):
    Vendors are responsible for delivering COD orders and collecting payment from the customer. The vendor must ensure proper handling of the transaction.
  • Prepaid Orders:
    For prepaid orders, Weftkart will transfer the amount to the vendor’s bank account after deducting the 10% commission. However, for prepaid orders exceeding ₹5000, ₹5000 will be held by Weftkart for 7 days post-delivery to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Payment Timeline:
    Payments for COD and prepaid orders will be processed within 7 business days of successful order delivery and receipt of confirmation.

8. Branding and Packaging Requirements

  • Weftkart Branding:
    All products must be shipped using Weftkart-branded packaging. Invoices must clearly display Weftkart as the seller.
  • Non-Compliance:
    Failure to comply with branding and packaging requirements will result in a 30-day account suspension. Vendors may resume operations after meeting compliance standards.

9. Returns, Exchanges, and Customer Satisfaction

  • 7-Day Return Policy:
    Vendors must accept returns and exchanges within 7 days of delivery for eligible products. The return must be facilitated without additional charges to the customer if there was an error (e.g., wrong size, incorrect product).
  • Exchange Process:
    If an incorrect product is delivered, the vendor is responsible for sending the correct product at no extra cost.
  • Warranty Claims:
    Customers must record a 360-degree unboxing video to support any claims for damaged or incorrect products.

10. Order and Shipment Tracking

  • Vendor Dashboard:
    All order and shipment details, including tracking information, will be made available to vendors through the Weftkart vendor dashboard. Vendors must update their order statuses promptly to avoid delays.
  • Tracking ID Requirement:
    Tracking IDs must be uploaded within 5 days of order confirmation. Failure to do so will result in order cancellation.

11. Dispute Resolution and Account Termination

  • Dispute Handling:
    Vendors may raise disputes regarding order cancellations, payments, or other matters via the vendor support team. Disputes will be resolved within 7 days of submission.
  • Account Termination:
    In cases of repeated non-compliance, false documentation, or customer complaints, Weftkart reserves the right to terminate the vendor’s account without prior notice. A notice of termination will be issued with the reasons for termination.
